Anti-wrinkle treatment has been safely used in Australia since 2002 and all our products are TGA approved.
Anti-wrinkle injections, along with all dermal fillers, are prescription-only medications and have to be prescribed by a Doctor after consultation. A Registered Nurse can inject the product on behalf of the doctor in accordance with the doctor’s agreed treatment plan.
Anti-wrinkle injections relax muscles and in doing so, they can help minimise the appearance of lines and wrinkles caused by facial expressions.
Dermal fillers contain a gel-like substance called Hyaluronic acid. Hyaluronic acid is naturally present in the human body, but when synthetic dermal filler is added to the skin it adds volume, hydration and fullness.
The longevity of dermal filler varies depending on many factors including the area is being treated, the type of filler being used and even your own metabolism. Typically, short term filler lasts around 6 months but longer-lasting fillers can last up to 2 years.
Bruising is always possible everytime we inject the skin. Our clinician’s always do their very best to avoid any bruising however we cannot absolutely guarantee none.
Side effects are generally minimal however the most common include: redness, swelling, tenderness and bruising. Uncommon side effects include infection, delayed allergy, nodules or vascular occlusion. Thankfully these side effects are very unlikely.
